Welcome to WORDSTER, a groundbreaking website that will change the way we think about and interact with words. Words are an intimate part of our lives – we speak words, write words, think words, have words on the tip of our tongue, look words up, and search for their synonyms and antonyms. Additionally, we also look for “stuff” about words - how they originated, how they are used, and idioms and phrases that contain them. Wordster is the one place where you will be able to find every answer you need.

While the full Wordster application will be launched early in 2010, the current release provides three useful and fun features: the CONCEPT MAPPER, WRITE ASSIST, and CONTRIBUTE, that we’d like you to try out.

The CONCEPT MAPPER is an innovative tool, that allows you to enter a concept and get back words that describe the concept. You can use it in many interesting ways – as a REVERSE DICTIONARY, a word RESEARCH tool, a RELATED WORDS finder, and much more.

WRITE ASSIST helps make your writing better. You can upload your writing and let us suggest contextual improvements, generate a word cloud graphic based on word frequencies, identify repetitive words and use many other interesting features.

CONTRIBUTE to Wordster by registering as a WORDSTERIAN and submit sentences, images, videos, artwork, and pronunciations that demonstrate the meanings of words and win prizes in return.
